Date(s) & Time(s)::
Daily from July 19, 2014 until July 20, 2014
Location: Franke Park
Saturday, July 19th, Noon to 4pm, NITRO Kids Zone and Guided Trail Rides at Franke Park Trailhead. Come out to Franke Park Saturday for a fun filled afternoon of mountain biking. NITRO will have their Kids Zone Track (recently featured in local news) staffed throughout the afternoon for the enjoyment of young riders. The Kids Zone Track is a great way for children to experience the thrill of trail riding on a closed course with adult supervision.
NITRO will also be leading guided trail rides throughout the afternoon on the Franke Park trail system. Off-road bicycling is a great way to experience the outdoors and get exercise. Come out and try trail
riding in a friendly, no-pressure environment. Already love riding off-road? Bring out your children, friends, and significant others and introduce them to the joy of riding a bicycle through the woods. It’s
an irrefutable fact that mountain biking makes you a happier person.
There is no cost for this event but please bring your own bicycles and helmets. There will be a limited number of bikes and helmets available for the NITRO Kids Zone Track. All riders must wear a helmet
while on a guided ride and in the NITRO Kids Zone.
Sunday, July 20th, 10am to 4pm, 2nd annual NITRO Bike Swap Meet at Franke Park Pavilion #1.
Come to Northeast Indiana’s only bike swap meet to buy and sell bike parts, clothing, tools, and accessories. Interested in renting a space at the meet to sell your used parts? The cost is only $10 a table. Please contact MTB.Nitro@gmail.com to reserve your space. Proceeds from the event benefit trail building and maintenance for Northeast Indiana trails. NITRO will also have a Trail Fund Pancake Breakfast at 9:30 am. Arrive early for the swap meet and enjoy pancakes and sausage.
