Join Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) for an event to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in the Walb International Ballroom.

This will feature a spoken word tribute commemorating the life and legacy of King. MLK 2014 presents poets:

Ketu Oladuwa, executive director of Three Rivers Institute for Afrikan Art and Culture
Michael Patterson
Condra Ridley, storyteller, portraying Coretta Scott King
E. Anne Henning Byfield, author of "The Essence of My Existence", Spoken-Word Artist
Brandon "XplicitPoet" Thornton, educator and Spoken-Word Artist
The show is from 7- 9 p.m. There will be a reception immediately to follow. Members of the community are welcome to enjoy because this event is free and open to the public.
