The Foundation for Art and Music in Education (FAME) invites students ages 8 to 14 to attend their Summer Arts Camp June 28th through July 3rd. Hosted at the YMCA Camp Potawotami in South Milford, FAME camp includes room and board for six days and five nights. Join us this summer for some fun, make new friends, and bond over a shared love of art!
The week includes typical summer camp activities such as swimming, mud hikes, rope courses, horseback riding, archery, games, and cabin celebrations. Unlike other summer camps, FAME also includes art related activities. We provide classes in musical theater, visual arts, dance, music performance, creative writing, and drama. Students will have the chance to showcase their talents and maybe even discover a new passion.
This year, The Atomic Sharks will perform as well as give the students a chance to play along with them. This is a chance for students to learn about the Ukulele in a hands-on style. Plus the tropical sound will enhance the experience of a true summer vacation. The Atomic Sharks will also be teaching songwriting.
Tuition for camp is $525, which includes room, board, class fees, and a t-shirt. Financial aid is offered through the YMCA. Information about that can be found on their website http://www.fwycamp.org/fine-arts-music-camp.php. To register for camp, you can find the forms to download or a link to the online registration at famearts.org/p_facamp. We look forward to another week engulfed in the world of art, being blown away by all of the young talent. See you there!
