On Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4 pm, the Heartland Chamber Chorale will perform Heartland Sings: Of Peace & Justice in the Allen County Courthouse, 715 S. Calhoun St. This concert is open to the public and is being presented free of admission thanks to underwriting by the Indiana Center for Middle East Peace.
In this concert, Heartland presents the world premiere of Gather These Mirrors by Kala Pierson, an American composer whose music has been applauded and performed in 26 countries. Gather These Mirrors delivers a strong message by utilizing poetry and text from interviews with people during political unrest and war. Also featured is the premiere of a new work entitled, Cry! written by Maestro Robert Nance, Heartland’s president and artistic director, and based on the poetry of Israeli poet David Katz.
