Mystery of Aging Well: Physical Activity & Exercise in Later Life
Wednesday, April 15th at 7:00 p.m.
How exercise/activity programs can help aging adults stay independent and physically able. These programs are a partnership between Oregon State University, Oregon State University Extension and AARP. The program has an action plan handout and suggestion on physical activities.
Raising Chickens for Food and Fun

Free class, open to the public.
Julie Scheele has been an RN for 30 years, and is currently homeschooling two teenagers. She has raised chickens for the last 8 years; her family involved in 4-H for 5 of those 8 years. She will share general information about chickens and raising them for meat, eggs, or both. Reasons to raise chickens, getting started, and special considerations including neighbors, restrictions on raising birds in cities (including Fort Wayne), and more.

Do you or someone you know need to monitor the foods consumed especially certain grain products so as to not feel badly? We will learn why certain grains may cause symptoms of illness or discomfort. The program will present an overview of the illness, symptoms, foods to be avoided and foods that are permissible to consume.
