On Saturday, October 18, Indiana Buddhist Temple (indianabuddhistvihara.org) will be holding our annual "Kathina" ceremony. This is an important event in the Buddhist calendar and is always well-attended. Again this year we anticipate many hundreds of visitors, including 20-30 monks from surrounding as well as distant communities.
In addition, between Thursday, Oct 9 - Wednesday, October 15 our Temple will be playing host to several monks from the Tibetan Cultural Center near Bloomington. During this time they will be creating one of the famous sand mandalas - quite a work of art well known throughout the world.
