September Diversity Dialogue: People that Use Violence: What is Batterer Intervention?
The Men's Program Senior Coordinator at The Center for Nonviolence, Brandon Evans, MSW, LSW, will be here to lead our dialogue and discuss the batterer intervention program and help us to understand what characteristics and experiences cause a situation to escalate to the point of battering. The Men’s Program at The Center for Nonviolence was the first Batterer Intervention Program in Indiana, and one of the first in the nation.
Please RSVP by e-mailing YWCA@ywcaerew.org, or by calling Sue Hiatt at 260-424-4908 ext. 254. And feel free to bring your lunch!
What are Diversity Dialogues?
YWCA Northeast Indiana celebrates a community that embraces the inherent dignity of all people. To encourage awareness and acceptance of diversity, YWCA Northeast Indiana’s Diversity Council hosts monthly Diversity Dialogues, where panelists and guest speakers help lead the community through compelling conversation on interesting topics important to our community. We do our best to always ensure a variety of perspectives, and Diversity Dialogues are sure to provoke deep thought.
