Event Description

Facing a terminal illness with a loved one or coping with their death is a difficult time in ones life. We need to give ourselves care and attention and allow others to provide support. Just talking about what one is experiencing and getting this support from others who are going through similar circumstances can help our sense of stress, sorrow, and isolation.

SouthernCare is pleased to offer grief and bereavement support group meetings for the community. The group will meet on a monthly basis on the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 AM. The meeting will take place at the First Presbyterian Church, Room 303 at 300 West Wayne St. in downtown Fort Wayne.

SouthernCare invites anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one. Each meeting will have a topic that focuses on an aspect of grief. It will be educational as well as supportive. There is no charge for these meetings and refreshments will be provided.

SouthernCare stands for excellence in hospice care. Our team of highly qualified healthcare professionals focuses on the whole person, emphasizing physical, spiritual, and emotional support while assisting our patients and families to live life to the fullest. It is our goal that every qualified patient has the opportunity to choose the comfort and support that the hospice benefit provides.

The SouthernCare office in Fort Wayne covers the northeast part of Indiana and we can be contacted at 260-432-6075 with any questions or for more information.
