Black Pine Animal Sanctuary will host an afternoon of fun for all ages with the return of Animal Enrichment Day on Saturday, December 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The non-profit animal sanctuary, home to nearly 100 displaced, captive-raised tigers, lions, cougars, wolves, and other exotic animals, will be delivering hand-made animal prey pinatas, toys, and treats to many of the large mammals throughout the afternoon.

The public is invited to observe and enjoy exploring the Sanctuary throughout the afternoon. A bonfire and hot cocoa and coffee will be provided. Many of Black Pine's animal keepers will be on hand to introduce the animals to guests and answer their questions. Gifts will be delivered to the animals beginning at 1:00 p.m., until gone. Visitation ends at 4:00 p.m.

Admission to Animal Enrichment Day is free for children under three, $7.00 for ages three to nine, and $10.00 for ages 10 and up. Park Pal members get in free. Reservations are not required, or accepted. Any weather-related concerns that may postpone or cancel this event will be announced at Black Pine's website and their Facebook page.

For more information visit www.blackpine.org or call (260) 636-7383. All proceeds of this winter-time event help fund the ongoing care of the animals enjoying refuge at the Sanctuary for the REST of their lives.
