25 YEARS OF MOONLIT NIGHT GOLFING FOR FUN AND CHARITY
Nine holes of golf with friends, flashlights, and glow sticks all at the light of the moon, is a great fun way to raise monies for local youth centered programs and initiatives. The John Chapman Kiwanis Service Club, dedicated to funding youth related community programs, celebrates the hosting of the 25th Annual “Midnight Golf Classic” for charity on August 2, 2013 at the Lakeside Golf Course, 746 N. Coliseum Blvd, near the cloverleaf. For a $40 donation, each participant receives a special glow-ball for 9 holes of golf, all you can eat dinner buffet, and beverage service during dinner and while golfing. A $10 dinner only option is also available. Golfing commences after the dinner around dusk.
In addition to golfing participants, tee and hole sponsors are also sought for $50 per sponsor. A special sponsor board will be erected inside the well-lit clubhouse. At the conclusion of the Florida scramble style event, prizes will be awarded to the top teams and other door prizes will be given out. Everyone wins; especially youth programs. All proceeds go to help area kid’s charity projects including Riley, Woodburn Children’s Home, FWCS Terrific Kids, Boy/Girl Scouts, SCAN and many other programs. Contact Dr. Phil Roach at 260-490-1705 or Bob Lomont at 260-749-4901 for golf registration, hole sponsorship, or Kiwanis membership.
