Paul Gionfriddo is National Mental Health America President, CEO, and author of Losing Tim: How Our Health & Education Systems Failed my Son with Schizophrenia.
Paul’s son Tim is one of the “6 percent” — an American with serious mental illness. Paul shares this moving and detailed story in his book, Losing Tim.
The book chronicles the inadequate educational supports Tim received
growing up, his continued isolation from family and friends, and his frequent encounters with the juvenile justice system and the adult criminal justice system.
