H.O.P.E. for Animals will join the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Subaru of America for the annual year-end Subaru “Share the Love” event and celebration, which kicks off November 19th, 2015 and runs through January 2, 2016. As part of this national effort, H.O.P.E. for Animals and Bob Rohrman Fort Wayne Subaru have teamed up to offer FREE microchipping, FREE rabies vaccines, and FREE personalized ID tags to the first 200 pets at the dealership between 10am and 2pm on Friday November 27th.
For every new Subaru purchased or leased during the “Share the Love” event, Subaru will donate $250 to the owner’s choice of participating charities up to $15,000,000.00, which includes the ASPCA. The ASPCA will be distributing its donation to support animal welfare organizations and lifesaving programs across the country and H.O.P.E. for Animals is pleased to be a recipient of one of these grants.
“As we strive to promote animal wellness and reduce euthanasia in our community, H.O.P.E. for Animals is making sure that pets in our area have proper identification and are current on their rabies vaccine. With microchipping and personalized identification tags, lost pets are much more likely to make it back home to their owners. The more pets that have identification means fewer animals entering overcrowded shelters and prevents trauma to both the pets and their families,” said Tyna Reiter, Community Outreach Coordinator with H.O.P.E. for Animals. “We are excited to be a part of this wonderful program with Subaru and look forward to offering these potentially lifesaving services at no cost to pet owners”.
