Join us for an Improvisational evening creating community with imagination and joy! Teens and adults, all skill levels welcome.
September 13, 6:30-8:30pm
Inspired by dance gatherings such as ecstatic dance and barefoot boogies, this improvisational evening event offers an accepting, friendly atmosphere for all who want to dance. Dance freely with others for self-expression, fitness, connection and fun. Multi-cultural music and funky rhythms will guide the body through it’s movement journey. Clear-minded and comfortably dressed, explore how your body wants to move! No dance experience necessary.
Ecstatic Dance is about getting out of the head and into the body. It’s not about the way the movement looks, it’s about how it feels. At Ecstatic Dance, you will see a great variety of dances in any given moment – from flowing Tai Chi-esque moves to hopping up and down to break dancing to simply walking or sitting in meditation. Move however you wish.
