Kevin Eubanks, most recognized as the former bandleader for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” is one of the top guitarists on the scene today and a committed advocate to music education in our public schools. Eubanks will be in Fort Wayne to open the upcoming Great KIDS 26th Annual Conference on Youth with a solo performance and keynote address. He then will spend the day at IPFW leading a masterclass for middle and high school jazz musicians and rehearsing with Director of Jazz Studies Dr. Farrell Vernon and the IPFW Jazz Ensemble for an exciting concert that evening. Don’t miss this impressive opportunity to see this electrifying musician!
Mr. Eubanks also will conduct a masterclass for middle school, high school and college students in the afternoon at 3 p.m. in Auer Performance Hall prior to the concert. During the masterclass he will work with select area high school and IPFW students in this intimate learning environment. Area musicians are welcome to attend the masterclass at no charge.
