Celebrate Hollywood with the IPFW Jazz Ensemble. An audience favorite, the concert features some of the most popular themes from television and the movies. They will play favorite themes from Get Smart, Perry Mason, Frazier, Johnny Carson, James Bond’s Skyfall, and many others.

Jazz Ensemble Tribute to the Jazz Nonet
During the 1960s there was a movement in jazz called the “Birth of the Cool.” Gil Evans and Miles Davis spearheaded a new sound in jazz featuring a group in size midway between a big band and a jazz combo called the Jazz Nonet (nine players). The IPFW Jazz Ensemble will re-create these wonderful sounds, under the direction of Dr. Farrell Vernon.
