Questa Education Foundation and the City of Fort Wayne Legacy Higher Education Scholarship Fund would like to announce the Questa Legacy Fort Wayne Scholars program and the available application online through May 1st.

High school seniors and college freshman who are residents of Fort Wayne, and plan to attend an Allen County college or university to obtain their educational goals should apply. The Questa Legacy Fort Wayne program offers low-interest forgivable loans for students pursuing a certificate, associate, or bachelor degree. Questa Legacy Fort Wayne scholars are individuals with a minimum 2.5 GPA, have taken their SAT or ACT or have completed 1 semester of college course work.

“The City of Fort Wayne and the Questa Education Foundation are making these funds available for individuals who want to pursue their education and have a financial gap. This is an investment in the further education of Fort Wayne residents and keeping the talent here in our community.” - Marc R. Levy, Executive Director of Questa Education Foundation.

The program offers a unique way for a student to fund the financial gap in their education and also retain talent in northeast Indiana. Questa Education Foundation will forgive 50% of the scholars loan balance when the scholar lives in Allen County and works in northeast Indiana for 5 years after graduation. Students who attend and graduate from one of Questa’s Allen County partner school’s will receive an additional 25% forgiveness at graduation. The Questa Legacy Fort Wayne program allows a student to borrow up to $20,000 and when meeting the qualifying criteria receive the maximum 75% forgiveness, making the remaining balance only $5,000 for the scholar to repay. The forgiveness feature combined with the low fixed interest rate after graduation makes the program an unbeatable loan option for students and families.

Local support is essential for helping increase the access to continued education and preparation for employment in our communities. Questa Education Foundation is a local non-profit serving Northeast Indiana and is dedicated to increasing access to education beyond high school, reduced debt and retention of talent.
