Cancer is caused by a combination of factors, including environmental effects, aging, lifestyle and genetics. Approximately 5 to 10 percent of all cancers are hereditary and caused by a gene passed down in a family.
Join Melissa Dempsey, certified genetic counselor, Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center, as she discusses the red flags that indicate cancer may run in the family, along with the benefits of knowing about genetic mutations and what to think about when considering genetic testing.
