Fort Wayne Derby Girls are proud to bring high quality sports entertainment to Fort Wayne for the tenth year! The Fort Wayne Derby Girls will be kicking off their home season at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum this Saturday, February 21st at 6pm. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. This event is a double header, with Fort Wayne’s internationally ranked Bomb Squad skating against the Flatliners of Bleeding Heartland from Bloomington, IN. After the first game, Fort Wayne’s SWAT team will face off against Bleeding Heartland’s Code Blue Assassins.
Partial proceeds from the night will benefit The League for the Blind & Disabled, a non-profit organization that provides and promotes opportunities that empower people with disabilities to achieve their potential.
All bouts are family-friendly events and everyone is invited to watch the great roller derby action.
Tickets are $12 or 2 for $20 at the Coliseum Box Office. Discounted tickets are available for $7 for children (5-12) and $9 for military, seniors (65+) and college students with an ID. Children under 5 receive free admission. Tickets are also available at Ticketmaster.com for an additional fee. Tickets provide general admission and seats will be available on a first-come, first served basis.
Directly after the event, stop by Wrigley Field Bar and Grill on E. State Boulevard to help the Fort Wayne Derby Girls celebrate their tenth season. Everyone is welcome to attend the after-party to meet and mingle with both returning and new Fort Wayne Derby Girl skaters.
