Fort Wayne Derby Girls will compete against the Royal City Roller Girls of Guelph, Ontario, Canada on April 30th at 6:00pm, in a double header. Doors open at 5:00pm. First up, Ft. Wayne Derby Girls All Star Bomb Squad will rally against the Royal City Roller Girls Brute-Leggers. The night will conclude with the Ft. Wayne Derby Girls SWAT Team taking on Royal City Roller Girls Rum Runners.
Partial proceeds of the night will benefit Team Gilbert/MDA. Team Gilbert is a group of family and friends who are fighting for a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and the other countless diseases MDA helps with. Visit www.facebook.com/Team-Gilbert-The-DMD-Fight for more information.
All bouts are family-friendly events and everyone is invited to watch the great roller derby action.
April 30th is Military Appreciation Night. Attend the bout with an official Military ID and receive FREE admission. ID must be shown at the Coliseum Box Office.
Tickets are $12 or 2/$20 at the Coliseum Box Office. Discounted tickets are available for $7 for children (5-12) and $9 for seniors (65+) and college students with an ID. Children under 5 receive free admission. Tickets are also available at Ticketmaster.com for an additional fee. Tickets provide general admission and seats will be available on a first-come, first served basis.
Directly after the event, stop by Wrigley Field Bar & Grill at 6527 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne, to help the Fort Wayne Derby Girls celebrate their final home bout of the eleventh season. Everyone 21+ is welcome to attend the after-party to meet and mingle with the Fort Wayne Derby Girl skaters.
