The Allen County Extension Homemakers will offer the following programs this winter and spring. The general public is invited to attend. Pre-registration is required as some class space is limited.
Registration forms are available at the Extension Office or they can be
found on the web at www.extension.purdue.edu/allen. All programs are held at the Allen County Extension Office on the IPFW campus, 4001 Crescent Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FOR EVERYONE 1:00 P.M. JANUARY 8, 2015
It is important for everyone to know which natural disasters can affect your area and what to do in the event of one. This program will demonstrate reasons for being prepared and how that can be achieved on any size income.

GROWING HERBS IN THE WINTER 1:00 P.M. FEBRUARY 10, 2015
Join Master Gardener, Pam Snyder as you learn how to plant and care for herbs in your home and garden as well as exploring their many culinary and home/health care uses. COST: $3.00.

ONE ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE 1:00 P.M. MARCH 9, 2015
Did you attend a one room schoolhouse or are you fascinated with how they worked? Listen to Linda Huge share the history and experiences.

HOBO HISTORY OF QUILTS 1:00 P.M. APRIL 8, 2015
Gen Dornbush of the Settlers will discuss the history of quilts with her vast display of quilts through the years.

CRAFT THE NIGHT AWAY 7:00 P.M. MAY 19, 2015
Make & Take your choice of 3 crafts. All Supplies provided. Class Size Limited to 20.

FABRIC FLOWERS COST: $1.00. Space Limited. All supplies provided.
Fabric, button and basting stitch create flowers for gifts, clothing, tote bags, etc.

POT SCRUBBER COST: $.50. Space Limited.
Nylon net and a basting stitch creates a versatile pan scrubber.

LIGHTED SNOWMAN COST: $5.00. Space Limited.
Canning jar, tissue paper, Modge Podge®, a string of lights and a charming face.
