A Spring Landscape / Lawn Seminar with an Emphasis on Water Quality will be held at the Allen County Extension office- 4001 Crescent Ave., Fort Wayne Indiana (on the IPFW campus) on February 22, 2013 from 8:30 AM 12:15 PM.
This event, sponsored by the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service, the Allen County Partnership for Water Quality Water, and the Allen County SWCD / NRCS is primarily for members of the Landscape turf industry; but is also available to the general public with an interest in Water Quality issues. Subjects included in the seminar are :

A Soil / Water Perspective-Matt Jones, Allen County Partnership for Water Quality Water
Sustainable Lawns and Nutrient-Runoff Control - LEED/LID Standards for Landscaping - Kara Salazar, Purdue Sustainable Communities Extension Specialist and Laura Bailey, New Leaf LLC Consultant, and Landscaping from an Agricultural Perspective-Mike Werling, Werling Farms Producer. There is a fee to attend the seminar. Registration forms can be obtained by contacting the Allen County Extension office at 260-481-6826 (option 3). Space is limited and registration forms must be submitted by February 11, 2013.
