We know what a weekend is! And what better way to spend it than by joining us at the downtown library for Downton Abbey-inspired fun? Meet up with other fans of PBS' most popular show to discuss the latest doings of the Dowager while enjoying tea and pastries provided by Sweet Violets Tea & Antiques. Dress up or dress down.
The Allen County Public Library will be hosting a total of three Saturday afternoon teas at the Main Library during the course of Season 4's airing on WFWA PBS39.
Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 2 PM – Register between December 17 and January 8 by calling 421-1212.
Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2 PM – Register between January 12 and January 29.
Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 2 PM – Register between February 2 and February 26.
The events are free, but seating is limited and registration is required.
Registration for our first tea on Saturday, January 11 begins Tuesday, December 17 and ends Wednesday, January 8 -- or when the seating capacity of 30 is filled.
Registration is open to all Downton Abbey enthusiasts, both male and female. To register for this free program, please call 260-421-1212 during the open registration times.
DVD copies of Downton Abbey seasons 1 through 3 are available at several ACPL branch locations, as are several books about the show.
