FORT WAYNE, Indiana (Indiana's NewsCenter)--Don’t you hate crooked TV evangelists…these shyster holy rollers who use mass media to swindle their flock through hidden agendas. It’s nice to know that some media ministers really are as upstanding as they appear to be.

“I think people need to know that you had to go through something to get where you are now and there’s some hurt and there’s some pain”, says Fort Wayne pastor David Moore. More is senior pastor of Victory Worship Center. He says he became a Christian at age 16 and decided to become a preacher at 18. But Moore isn’t content to preach his message of tolerance and forgiveness just from the pulpit. One year ago pastor Moore and a group of family and friends launched MGM…Moore gospel magazine…a bi-monthly reader that preaches the Christian gospel, but also prints how-to articles that help people navigate through life. Marriage advice, wedding and fashion trends, starting a business…even music and book reviews. Guidance, Moore says, for day-to-day living.

“How do you get from point a to point b,” says Moore.” How to become successful in life, how to overcome hardships and situations. What I like about the magazine is that it lets people know that there had to be some struggle to get where we are now. It just didn’t happen. And anything that is worth having is worth persevering through is worth going through the pain and the heartache.”

Tolerance seems to be an overriding message of MGM. Ministers from other local churches have praised the effort. many contribute their own columns to the magazine. it’s an endorsement pastor Moore hopes will carry his young publication far.

“Nationally and locally on perhaps every store counter and every bookstore,” he says. “I’d like to see it touching and reaching lives of people, transforming people. I like to see the response back that this magazine has made a difference in peoples lives.”

Making a difference in people’s lives, one issue at a time. Eric Olson, out in Your Country.
