DELPHOS, OHIO (Indiana's NewsCenter)--SOME ARTISTS FIND INSPIRATION IN LANDSCAPE, OTHERS IN THE HUMAN FORM. BRIAN FETZER FOUND HIS ARTISTIC MUSE…ON THE TUBE.

Brian: I just remember watching it as a kid. Always being attracted to that bottle.

WHILE OTHER YOUNG BOYS WERE OOGLING OVER CURVACEOUS BARBARA EDEN ON THE HIT TV SHOW ‘I DREAM OF JEANNIE’, BRIEN FETZER WAS FANTASIZING OVER A NICE PIECE OF GLASS…THE BOTTLE, THAT SERVED AS JEANNIES ABODE. IT WAS JUST A JIM BEAM BOURBAN DECANTER DECORATED FOR THE SHOW. BUT BRIAN REMEMBERS THE FIRST TIME HE SAW ONE UP CLOSE, AT AGE SIX, AT SOMEONE’S HOUSE.

Brian: Even though it wasn’t painted I knew exactly what it was I couldn’t take my eyes off it the whole time I was there.

SO WHEN HE GREW UP BRIAN FETZER BOUGHT SOME OLD BEAM BOURBON BOTTLES AND DECORATED THEM. THEN HE PUT THEM ON EBAY.

Brian: And the first bottle I put up sold for 138 and the second sold for 154 and the third went for 178.

THAT WAS SIX YEARS AGO. SINCE THEN BRIAN HAS DECORATED AND SOLD ABOUT 800 BOTTLES FOR ABOUT 300 BUCKS A PIECE. HE SELLS THEM ON HIS WEBSITE, BRIAN’S GENIE BOTTLES-DOT-COM.

Brian: I sell bottles all around the world, I’ve sold a bottle to a US Senator. I’ve sold bottles to Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood.

AND IN 2006 BRIAN’S OWN DREAM OF JEANNIE CAME TRUE WHEN HE MET BARBARA EDEN, AND PRESENTER HER WITH HER OWN BOTTLE.

BRIAN: As sweet as she can be. Everything you imagine her multiply it by 100 she’s just that sweet. People ask me how long I’m gonna keep painting and that. I never get bored with them. I’m leaving instructions with my wife that I’m to be cremated and my ashes are to be placed in a Jeannie bottle. So they’re gonna have to pry the last one from your cold dead hands? Probably, probably.
