Sports Co-Host/ Fill-In Sports Anchor

Fort Wayne native Kent Hormann brings unique talents to 21Alive as co-host with Dean Pantazi and Tommy Schoegler of the popular and highly successful Friday night local sports program "The Score" that airs at 11:08 pm on WPTA 21-Alive.

Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Kent Hormann began his broadcasting career in 1978 with WFFT Channel 55. A graduate of Heritage High School and Ball State University, Kent joined WFFT as one of its original "Dirty Dozen", one of the first twelve people hired by the station after it signed on in December of 1977.

Kent joined WKJG NewsCenter 33 in June of 1981 and spent 21 years with the station as a videographer, sports anchor, and Sports Director. Among his career highs are anchoring the live play - by - play broadcast of the Fort Wayne Komets Turner Cup - clinching victory during the 1993 season, the play - by - play of the very first Wizards baseball game in Fort Wayne in 1993, and his duties as the Master of Ceremonies for the Mad Anthony's Charity Classic for Children Red Coat Dinner each year. Kent has helped with the color commentary and play - by play of the Fort Wayne Wizards baseball radio broadcasts for the past twelve seasons. He is currently the Director of Athletic Marketing and Broadcasting at IPFW, anchoring the radio broadcasts of IPFW basketball and volleyball.
